…is ready! The opening was held last week. Here’s a pic (+text in Finnish) from my installation called

Ravintoa, silmäniloa ja seuralaisia

1. Hän oli koko ajan läsnä ja eli keskellämme, mutten koskaan oppinut kunnolla tuntemaan häntä.

/// Kirjovehka (Dieffenbachia maculata) on erittäin nopeakasvuinen suosittu ruukkukasvi, joka viihtyy hyvin lämpöisissä nykyajan asuinhuoneissa. Kosketettaessa saattaa aiheuttaa ihoärsytystä, limakalvokipua ja turvotusta. Allergisoiva.

2. Hän huumasi minut hetkeksi kauneudellaan, mutta nyt en haluaisi edes nähdä häntä.

/// Kotilokukka (Moluccella laevis) on suosittu jopa metrin korkuiseksi kasvava leikkokasvi, jota tuotetaan myyntiin muun muassa Aasiassa ja Itä-Euroopassa. Kestää maljakossa noin yhden viikon ajan, jonka jälkeen mätänee.

3. Häneen ei voi luottaa, mutta jatkamme silti harvoja tapaamisiamme…

/// Muskottipähkinä (Myristica fragrans) on jauhettuna suosittu maustekasvi. Jo kahden kokonaisen pähkinän nauttiminen voi aiheuttaa suun kuivumista, sydämen tykytystä ja harhoja.

Tomorrow is finally the day of our opening! I’m pretty pleased with the set. Here you can read some info about the installation & collective Andrea O. in Finnish. We have also created an event.

A beautiful shot of one of my dresses taken by Merja Isokoski. The violin player in the picture is talented Laura Kokko, who is one of the musicians of the project. This week we are starting to build the installation… And besides the costumes, I’m now designing the decoration of the room, too!

I designed costumes for perpetual mvmt<>snd -collective to their inhabited installation called Breathscape, which takes place in the SUMU space at Gallery Titanik, Turku. Opening was held in 4th of March, 2010 and the installation goes on until 12th of March.

This winter 2010 I designed costumes for an experimental dance / sound -collective perpetual mvmt<>snd for their little piece in the Wäinö Aaltosen Museo, Turku. It was part of the opening of the massive exhibition ”Koko kuva – Arte 50 vuotta”. Opening was in the 28th of January 2010 from 7.pm in Wäinö Aaltosen Museo, Turku. The exhibition is on until the 2nd of May 2010.
